Posting Summary: The University of Virginia Bookstore is seeking a Sales Associate to join our team. The sales Associate will perform a variety of retail sales activities at our Clinique Boutique. Responsibilities will include merchandising, receiving and stocking inventory, maintaining inventory, assisting customers with purchase, and entering sales transactions on the cash register. The Sales Associate will also serve as operational back up for our gift and clothing departments as needed.
Required Minimum Level of Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Not Required

Required Minimum Level of Experience: Some - up to 4 years
Required Specific Experience: 1-2 years of customer service and retail experience, preferably in a college bookstore or a retail store.

Preferred Specific Experience: Cosmetic experience is highly preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Candidates should possess the ability to follow detailed instruction, display excellent customer service by actively listening and identifying customers' concerns and providing quick resolution, as well as the ability to demonstrate organizational and interpersonal skills.
