Posting Summary: University of Virginia's Printing & Copying Services is looking for a motivated, customer friendly individual to operate and maintain high-speed digital copiers, printers, and off-line bindery equipment. The incumbent will interface with customers in a friendly and professional manner, offering assistance, and ensuring jobs are completed in a timely manner. This position is also responsible for operating a cash register and completing daily transaction reports.
Required Minimum Level of Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
Preferred Minimum Level of Education: *Degree or Equivalent Experience Preferred
Preferred Specific Degree/Training: Experience working in a large volume, fast paced retail copy center of comparable size and complexity preferred.
Required Minimum Level of Experience: Some - up to 4 years
Required Specific Experience: Experience in operating production copy/printing equipment and power bindery equipment required.
Preferred Minimum Level of Experience: Considerable - 4 to 7 years
Required License or Certification: Valid driver's license
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of high speed copy equipment, and hand and power bindery equipment are required. Knowledge of POS cash register systems.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Offset printing background, desktop publishing and design knowledge. Computer networking and troubleshooting. Fiery Command workstation knowledge, extensive customer service skills preferred.
Required Computer Applications: Microsoft Office suite to include Outlook, Adobe Acrobat
Preferred Computer Applications: Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Digital Storefront.
